Nima Rumba

When Nima was in school, he used to be a very good painter/ artist. He used to draw lots of pictures and give it away to his friends. He had deep passion in music and dance also. After SLC, he got chance to meet his brother’s friends who ere associated with music. He also joined them and learn how to sing and how to play guitar. Later, he became their vocalist. The name of their band was “The Bass”. They worked very hard, did the local stage concerts everywhere.Because of the lack of money and media they fell apart and he joined another band named “The Peace”. He was again vocalist for the new band. They composed their first song “Aai Dew Priya” and recorded in “Sanga Recording Studio”. After that, they participated in Rara Nepali Pop Music Competition in 1992 and won in 2nd place. Despite their success from the song and all live concerts, they couldn’t develop their musical skills within the band and also because of different taste in music of the band members and himself, they decided to split. So he became a solo singer and by 1993 he did his firstsolo song “Jadaichu Tadha Tadha” which he wrote himself and did music himself and was released in ‘Touch-1’ collection from the same group Harati Cassette Centre. From there his real musical journey began. He was admired by lots of his fans and friends for his work. For about 2-3 years, he did 4-5 singles for different collection albums. He did song like “Pagal Premi”, “Ujaad Mero Jeevanma”, “Block Heel Shoes” and they were all superb and went real big hit.
